Digest #5: Can't I be the Ravenmaster today? or: Yes, the Northern Line tube is still down on the weekends!

First, an apology to those who have emailed and said that they couldn't leave comments on this damn thing. I have fixed the problem so should you desire to leave a comment you can without having to be a member of "Blogger". Anyway, this is mostly a photo entry tonight as it has been a wildly, wildly busy couple of days. Though I should probably mention something that has been bothering me since we arrived here. Remember how I was excitedly thinking along the lines of how easy it would be to be Vegan in London? Yeah, ha, no, just because it started here doesn't mean it's any easier. I must admit that it has been frustrating and at certain times a little upsetting. I'm not entirely sure how to remedy the situation, barring a rash decision of ceasing being a vegan (which as far as I'm concerned, absolutely isn't going to happen). Anyway, that is of miniscule importance so I will leave it at that for the time being.

But anyway, just a brief recap of the past two days: London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Camden Town for dinner, Leicester Square (pronounced as: "Lester") for a viewing of "The Queen" with Helen Mirren (which is fantastic, though I don't recommend seeing it in London as it was a £9.50/$19 movie ticket), a walk through Piccadilly Circus/Central London (which may as well be called the Elizabeth Griffith Fortress as there were tons of opulent, expensive designer shops that made me want to puke... I have pictures for you Liz), Trafalgar Square at night, some time at O'Neills in Muswell Hill with many Earlham students, Tower of London this morning, a trip to where Katie lived when she was here a couple of years ago, back to Piccadilly Circus and Leceister Square to see a showing of "Little Miss Sunshine" and finally back to Muswell Hill to decompress. I feel as though I'm missing something, but then I have to bear in mind that I spend a lot of time, seriously, traveling from place to place to place, so on and so forth.

Anyway, here are the pictures (some of which are very dark as London may on occasion bear witness to the fact that yes, indeed, we rotate around a star):

(Locations: London Eye, St. James' Park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus (bear in mind that Piccadilly, Trafalgar, and Leicester (not pictured) are within minutes of one another)

Oy vey. So, I'm not going to post the pictures from the Tower of London until tomorrow. "Blogger" is being a pain in the ass, so I'm just going to hold off until then. But here are a lot of pictures that hopefully are enjoyable.

Until then,

jenny

All that walking around London! Wow! What a great way to get exercise. The photos are really nice Jenny. Funny that you're a Vegan - I always thought you were a Taurus . . .

That first picture of the London Eye is amazing! I feel like a card. You should enter that in a London Eye picture contest or something.
